My Rant For The Day

I don’t usually rant about anything ever,  but today is definitely an exception. First let me explain a few things. I live in the country about 25 miles away from my nearest Walmart. But I’ll get to Walmart in a minute, lol. In between the ride to the store there is a cross road that has been mainly setup with stop signs on the opposite side of the street because it is less busy than the main road that runs between our 2 towns. Well, some idiot decided that they would put a 4 way with stop signs on this 4 way intersection. In reality this would be a GOOD idea if people knew how to drive but unfortunately,  they don’t. I had  to sit there for over 5 minutes waiting on other people to go because they decided they would only pause for a second and then plow through to the other side all the while with other people trying to go at the same time. Amazing is all I can say about that.

Now lets get to Walmart. Wow. The store I’ve been going to for years has been such a nice place to visit until a few weeks ago when they decided to start moving everything around. And when I say everything , that pretty much sums it up. Nothing is where it used to be. And the isles are now thinner instead of wide like they used to be so it’s hard to get a cart down an isle if someone else has a cart of the same size as you do.

I have spent most of the past few weeks re-learning where everything has been moved to. Also every time I went there I could checkout without any problem and didn’t have to wait for very long. But they have something new added where some cash registers used to be. Some of those scan it yourself machines where you scan your own groceries and then bag them yourself . Wow, how much fun is that? I was there earlier and was tired because I didn’t get much sleep last night. Was waiting at the only single register that was open which also had a line with people waiting to check out.

What amazes me the most about that is that when all of us where waiting in line we would look around and we would see employees walking around or just standing there talking to other employees and they would look over, smile and then continue talking as if they could care less that we were in line waiting.

Well a few of us were getting pretty irritated I can tell you. One lady said she would never come to that store again and after thinking about it, I don’t think I will either (to buy my groceries) anymore. We have other grocery stores too so from now on I will do my grocery shopping some place else. I am very ticked off by Walmart today and if it wasn’t for the fact that we pay our bills at Walmart, I would never set foot in that place again.
