My Graphics Site Back Online!

I removed my graphics site and forgot to add it back after I turned it into a paid subscription site, lol. So you can find the link HERE and I just created some new Holiday themed graphics yesterday and I’ll be sharing those sometime next week. Most of them are too large to send through the online group so I need to resize them first. But I will post all of them as soon as I can do that! Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that my graphics site is back online in case you were wondering what happened to it, lol. Yes, I am forgetful sometimes,

Thanks for stopping by and hugs,

Refresh Time!

So, I thought it was time that I did a refresh of my scrapbook graphic sites. I now have 2 sites for scrapbook graphics; 1 for my tagger kits and 1 for digital scrap kits. And I figured that since I make both types of kits I would refresh 2 of my sites to update them. So you can now find all my tagger sized kits located HERE and all my digital kits located HERE. And both links are also added to the sidebar menu too.

And while I was at it, I was playing in Paint Shop Pro the other day and thought I would create 2 new digital scrap kits. And both kits are holiday themed; 1 for Valentines Day and 1 for Christmas. You might want to check them out when you visit my site.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by and hugs,

Revamped My Scrapbook Freebies Site!

So, I recently updated my scrapbook freebies website. When I created it the last time, there were only 4 freebies available for download. Now, you’ll find a whole lot more freebies added to the site along with a complete overhaul of the site too. So, it will look much different than it did before but hopefully it will be to your liking, lol.

Before my old computer died I added all my scrapbook freebies to an external hard drive for storage. And I was recently looking in some of those folders and found all sorts of stuff that I would like to share. So, I have been slowly adding them all to the site. And there are so many to add, that it will take a little while before I can post them all to my site. Oh, and because they use so much web space I decided to upload them all to MediaFire.  So when you click on any of the links for my scrapbook freebies, you’ll automatically be transported to MediaFire to download them.

Anyway, that site has been updated and I have also been considering adding my shop back for my scrapbook kits too. I have a lot of scrapbook kits that I have made over the years and at the moment I have them for sale using the Buy My Store type of product. All my kits are stored in a password protected area on my site, so after your payment, you’ll receive the link to the site along with a user name and password to login to it.

I think that about does it for the updates of my sites at the moment. And I will keep you updated is there is anything else going on, lol. Thanks for stopping by and hugs, Mod Girl.

A Few Changes

So, you’re probably thinking. Wow, there is a lot of changes going on with you lately. And you’d be right about that, lol. I have a habit of collecting domain names. Domain names are a good investment because you can use them for websites and then mature the domains and resell them later to make a profit from them. I have done this in the past and made a good living doing so. However when the dot com bubble burst there were many who were left with domains that they couldn’t use or some that they wanted to get rid of rather cheaply. I was able to collect some pretty good domains when that happened and I still enjoy buying domains if I think I can either use the domain or mature the domain and then sell it later down the road.

Anyway, that is one of the reasons why things may change for me. So, I have a couple of new domains that I purchased lately; junkjournalpaper.com and htmlstationery.com

The Junk Journal Paper site is already created and I have added a lot of papers there already. But the second domain; HTML Stationery is one I am working on right now. And so far I have created the site but I haven’t yet added any email stationery to it. I will do that shortly but I also wanted to update you about my modgirldesign.com website. I have removed that site because the 2 primary things I was sharing there were the 2 things I am now sharing on the 2 new domains I purchased; Junk Journal Paper and HTML Stationery. And since I now have the sites to match the names of the things that I’ll be sharing I didn’t feel the need for the domain name Mod Girl Design any longer.

I know, it’s a lot to take in but there IS a method to my madness, lol. The reason why I wanted to have domains that best describes what I’ll be sharing is because the search engines will pick up those domains a lot quicker because of that. They look for whatever your site description is and if the domain name coincides with that name then that works to your advantage. And the best way to have more visitors to your site is to get better searches in search engines. Do you get what I’m telling you now? I hope so. I mean it isn’t really that hard to understand when you think about it but I didn’t want some of you to think that I am a crazy loon or something with all the changes I make to my websites. I mean, sure I might be a little crazy but then, who isn’t these days? lol.

And with that, I will call it a day. Thanks for stopping by and hugs, Mod Girl.

On A Break

I have stepped back from making tags for awhile. We had some problems with our roof with all the storms. It started leaking and so we told our land lady about it. Unfortunately, she has not fixed it and after talking to her about why she hasn’t, she finally told us that she just can’t afford it. Hubs and I figured she had home owners insurance or something to that effect but I believe she let it slip and now she has none.

Sad times. So, hubs and I bought some tarps from the hardware store and we both got on the roof and put them down with some wood strips and nails. This in itself was a chore for both of us because hubs is seriously over weight and is in bad shape and because I am afraid of heights. And, no I haven’t always been afraid of heights. There was something that happened many years ago that got me to be that way and I won’t go into details about that now, but let me just say, it was a horrific experience when it happened and leave it at that.

Also we had asked a few people to help us put the tarps on the roof but no one was able to help so we decided to do it ourselves.  Our roof has a pitched slope at the front and back but the back of the roof is more sloped than the front side and that’s the side we went up on the ladder. Hubs had to actually help me get up the ladder and onto the roof because I was shaking so much and he started freaking out about it. I had told him about my fear of heights before and apparently he didn’t think it was a big deal. I guess now he knows better, lol.

I wasn’t much help once I got on the roof except to just sit there and pass him the slats of wood so he could nail them in place across the tarps. But we were able to get 1 tarp on it and I guess that’s better than nothing at this point. After we got down and calmed down we both decided that we had no business going back onto the roof and we would just pay someone to come out and do it if we have too.

So, inside the house one area of the ceiling I told you about before started leaking and after awhile the ceiling started to fall down in that room. So hubs found a couple of boards that were laying around at work and brought them home to use to hold the ceiling up. And you should see how he did that, lol. I was amazed it actually worked because he had to lift up the one board from the floor so he sat it inside the large plastic tote that we had on top of the table in that room. It still wasn’t tall enough so he had to wedge and old piece of an old cast iron plate under it. And then at the top of the board he put the other board side ways across the top of the ceiling to hold it back up. And don’t ask me how but it is actually working and the part of the ceiling is not going anywhere now, lol.

Whew, what an ordeal, right? And we still have 2 more tarps to put up there on the roof and God only knows how that will ever happen. But we’ll get ‘er done somehow! Anyway. I just wanted to update you on what I’ve been up to lately since it’s been awhile. I only wish I felt like making tags right now but other stuff has kept me pretty busy. We have 3 rooms that are full of clutter. You know stuff that you pickup one day and then later you look at it and think, hmm, why did I buy this? So, you put it in another room and then after awhile that room just gets bigger and bigger full of stuff that you will never use.

Yeah, after living in this house for over 30 years we are at the point where 3 rooms full of junk is just too much to deal with, lol. Go figure. So, since hubs has no energy and won’t even help me do anything about it, I have decided to do it myself. At the moment I am busy shredding old papers like receipts, old paid bills, and stuff like that. These are papers that we have had in drawers, in a filing cabinet and thrown on top of the kitchen counter and coffee table over the years. So, I pulled out the paper shredder and I’ve been shredding paper for the past 2 days. Oh what fun, lol. So far I have filled up our garbage can (the big one that goes out to the curb for the trash collector) and I still have plenty more to shred still. I honestly don’t know when I will be done with all that but it feels really good to get some stuff done for a change and we now have a cleaned out filing cabinet so that makes me happy.

Okay, well I better get back to work. You know it will never get done unless I do it, lol. Wish me luck and I hope you all have a great day and hugs, Mod Girl.
