Selling My Old Stuff

Okay, so I am in the process of sorting through all the years of stuff that we have collected. There is A LOT of stuff to sort through. An old Nintendo system that still works really well, lots of games to go with it and 2 brand new controllers that I recently purchased. Lots of old vinyl records (some that are collector items) like the Beatles and some old 70’s rock bands like Deep Purple, Bob Seger, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Doobie Brothers, CCR (Creedence Clearwater Revival), etc, etc….

There is also a massive amount of fabric and books that I’ll be selling too. Most of the books are ones that I used growing up; Better Homes and Gardens type of books along with many cook books, craft books and sewing books too. I also have a set of children encyclopedias from the 50’s that are in really good condition. When going to flea markets and yard sales, I have found many items that someone might find useful.

I live in the Eastern part of NC about an hours drive from Myrtle Beach. If you live anywhere close to that proximity I can load the items in my truck and drive to the beach to meet you where we can obtain them that way. Otherwise, all items will be sent through postal mail. Sending by regular mail will be more expensive because there is the shipping charges that have to be paid. I will try and include those in the price itself so you won’t have to worry about that but I will have to increase the prices to offset the price of shipping also. Please remember that when you notice the prices of the items I’ll be selling.

Now there is a flea market at the beach and I might actually decide to sell my stuff there in the future. They charge by the day so it would be me selling on the weekends only to start. But that’s nothing I’m going to worry about right now. Plus there is a LOT of stuff to get rid of and it would take a lot of work to stock up the truck and my Kia Sorrento full of it all, lol.

Anyway, I will be adding some products this weekend to my online shop HERE. If you want to check them out please visit the site and look through my online shop. And I’m not altogether sure how much I’ll be able to add to the shop this weekend but I will try and that’s pretty much all I can do at the moment.

Ever feel like a dinosaur?

Not that many people know this about me and hubs but we don’t use cell phones. We live out in the country and we have a rather simple life and have been using landline phones for as long as we can remember. We use internet through our phone line (DSL) and have been doing that since our phone company switched names so many times. But, lately we have come to the realization that we are slowly becoming dinosaurs. All those things we have used for years are finally starting to break down or become obsolete. Our landline phone was out for over a week and when the tech guy from the phone company finally came by, he told us that one of our phone lines was shot and there was no sense in adding another to replace it since they were moving away from landline phones.

And, because we don’t want to be sitting here one day when our phones stop working altogether, we have decided to bite the bullet and purchase a cell phone.  Now, I have only used a cell phone a couple of times and that was many years ago. So, I am brand new at this stuff and most of it I don’t even understand. But, I have been doing some investigating on cell phones and found out some interesting things about them.

For example I did not know that you can use a cell phone without the internet. I thought by using a cell phone you HAD to also have internet but that’s not true. Of course if you want your cell phone software to stay up to date it would help to have internet in order to do that and it would make your cell phone more secure. Now that I can understand. All these devices need to be updated with there software each time it needs it. I do have a computer and I know that at least, lol.

Also, you can play games and listen to music on your phone and you can do both of those things without having internet. And although I like the idea of not having to use the internet on my cell phone, it might come in handy down the road if we ever decided to take a trip and we needed a current map to look at. And I also like the idea that while at home I can use my Wi-Fi and not have to use a paid cell phone carrier.

During my investigating of cell phones I also bookmarked some links to videos that show me how to setup my phone before I use it. That will come in handy when my phone gets here. I ordered a phone off Amazon and it’s supposed to be here sometime today (hopefully) and I also purchased a 365 day card for service through TracFone. The phone itself isn’t from TracFone. It’s a Samsung Galaxy phone and it’s unlocked and comes with 2 sim cards so I can use 2 different cell phone carriers if I wanted to.

See, I have done a little homework on this stuff, lol. But I am still a little bit wary about using a cell phone. Mainly because I have been using my old landline for a really long time. But I guess it’s time for an upgrade and maybe I will start to like using these cell phones one day. Maybe. Who knows. Anything is possible, right?

Anyway, thanks for stopping by and hugs,

Showing Off A Tag

So, I was playing in psp this morning and came up with this tag. It’s a rather simple looking tag but I like the simplicity of it. Sometimes when I am looking at the image I want to use in making a tag I try and think how I want the tag to look when it’s finished. For example; Do I want to showcase the image or blend it into the rest of the images on the tag? And most of the time (for me anyway) I will always try and showcase the image. I mean the whole purpose of creating a tag in the first place is to show the main image you are using. Right? At least that’s how I look at it.

Anyway, I just wanted to show you what I was working on, and I just completed this one a few minutes ago and thought I would show you what it looked like. Thanks for stopping by and hugs,

Keeping my web hosting

I have decided to keep my web hosting account. The reason is because I need to continue keeping my domain email address and the only way for me to do that is to keep my web hosting. I checked out trying to use a domain email with my domain host but they want to charge me for that. However, with my webhosting it comes with. So, that’s why I decided to keep my web hosting account.

I have an account with CreativeFabrica and just downloaded these really nice graphics and thought you might find them useful yourself. You can click on the image below and it will take you to CreativeFabrica website:
