About Fonts

When creating tags I always make sure to use the right font. Now, this can be tricky at times when you have a rather large assortment of fonts to choose from. As a retired web designer / graphic artist, I have collected many font’s over the years either by purchasing them in bulk for my design work or for everyday use. I have so many fonts in fact that I had to burn some to CD’s because they were using so much space on my computer.

When doing any creative work, I always try to use the best font. Any designer who creates graphics for clients knows that using the best font for your design is critical. And you would think that using a font wouldn’t matter that much, but it DOES. For example, if you were creating some serious art work you wouldn’t want to use a cartoon looking font on it, now would you? Nope, it really does make a difference what font you use.

And if you’re not a designer but enjoy making graphics for others or for yourself and need a good font to use then you’ll be glad to know that there are many places online to download fonts. Here are a few links to font sites that offer free fonts. However, most do come with a terms of use so you may want to be sure to use them accordingly.

Did someone say TAGS?

Yup, more tags to show off! Seems like I’m on a streak of making tags lately so why not showcase them here for visitors to see?  A few days ago I was looking through some of the journal papers I made and remembered all the pretty flower themed ones. So, I decided to use a couple of those papers to create some new tags. I think they turned out really nice. And I didn’t feel the need to add a bunch of stuff to the tags like elements from a tag kit or other items. Instead I thought the flowers themselves should take center stage so that’s what I did when creating these 2 tags.

This first tag was created using my orange flower journal paper. I really love the flowers and how they look with this simple design.

This next tag was created using my pink flower journal paper and it was also created with a similar simple design. I love these vintage flowers that I made and they make some really beautiful tags.

Besides these 2 flower tags I am also working on some more fashion tags. I made some really pretty women with platinum blonde hair wearing black and white fashionable clothing so I wanted to make some new tags using those. So far they are tuning out really nice and I can’t wait to make some new tags for my members with them. Anyway, thanks for stopping by and hugs, Mod Girl.

Brand New Tags

I have some brand new tags to show off today. I just created them so I haven’t had time to add group members names to them just yet but I will do that either later today or sometime tomorrow. I’m in the process right now of resizing some graphics I just created so when I’m done with that, I will get busy with those tags.

This first tag was created using some of my new fashion lady graphics that I recently made. I also created the background images also and the scrapbook pieces (the frames and flowers) are from one of my tagger kits. I really love how this tag turned out and the colors of this tag too.

For this second tag I was thinking more about a country theme so I created a bunch of country themed girls that I could use in making some new tags.  The other images in the tag are from the graphic subscription site where I have a yearly paid subscription. And, I thought the girl went well with the other graphics that I chose to make this tag. I think it turned out pretty good if you ask me.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by and hugs,
