My day started out fine. On Labor Day we were going to go to the beach to look for a new fridge. Instead we decided to go to our local Lowes Improvement Store. We found a nice fridge and dished out lots of money for it, and they said they would deliver it today, set it up and then take the old one. That made us so happy. So, when the truck pulled up today with our new fridge I was so excited UNTIL…. One of the guys helping me pull out the fridge say’s they can’t set it up because we didn’t disconnect the water line to the ice maker.
When I said they could do it themselves he said, “No, we’re not allowed to do that.” So he said that he could leave the new fridge here and when we were ready to set it up to call them AFTER we had the water line disconnected. And I told him that I would disconnect it myself and he said I couldn’t do that either and we needed to call a plumber to disconnect the line.
Are you with me so far? Good. Because as soon as he told me that I called hubs at work and told him what was happening. He was NOT happy at all and told the guy on the phone to just disconnect the line because it was easy to do. He refused. Now, they left the new fridge sitting in the living room and the old fridge is still sitting in the kitchen.
Okay, so I called hubs back at his job and his boss tells me that he’s on his way home. So, he gets here and starts yelling at me for not keeping them here longer. Well, why are they going to stay when they already told me they couldn’t disconnect the water line? He was so mad. But he finally calmed down and said on his way back to work that he was stopping at Lowes to make sure they get our fridge setup today.
A few minutes ago I get a call from him and he said the lady at Lowes told him that she would see if they could do it today but not to expect them until tomorrow. In the mean time, Our fridge is sitting there right in my way in front of the stove.
I can’t believe those guys couldn’t unhook a simple water line from the back of the fridge. It would have taken only 2 seconds to do that. Wow. That’s all I can say. So, that’s how my day is going. How about yours? Anyway, thanks for stopping by and hugs,
