Well, this weekend was a surprise to me. We were in Walmart checking out the electronics and I spied the computers and mentioned to hubs that I would need a new computer soon because I was using Windows 10 and they were updating everyone to the new software. And because my computer wasn’t compatible with Windows 11 it was either stop computing altogether or get a new one, lol.
So, right there in Walmart hubs said; “Pick One”. So that’s what I did. It’s still sitting in the box and hopefully by tomorrow I will be sitting in front of my new computer. Actually, I’m not really looking too forward to that because I will have to add all my programs to it and then move my files to the new computer, I have already started moving my computer files to my external hard drive and I will probably just use the externals for all my files in the future anyway. This time, I want my computer to have only programs I use everyday and Windows software. That’s really all I need to add to it because all my personal files, graphics, music, etc… are all on the externals. And because I have like a dozen externals now, I won’t have to worry about running out of room anytime soon, lol.
Now, I just hope that I don’t run into any problems with logging into websites with the new computer. All sites these days not only use passwords but also use your IP address also to verify who you are. And with the new computer I’m pretty sure my IP address will also change. So, we’ll have to see how that goes.
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you the good news about the new computer. And it’s new to me because it’s not the kind of computer that I am use too either, so that’s going to be interesting, lol. I am using a HP computer right now but the new computer is a Lenova (all in one). And, I am used to having a tower hard drive and the new computer doesn’t have that. I just find that really strange but hey, new ideas are hard to get used too sometimes so…..
Wish me luck folks because I might need it, lol. Thanks for stopping by and hugs,
